Helder K. Sun is a Director of Photography specializing in visual effects, stop-motion animation, and live-action filmmaking. He earned his MFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts.

His career began in visual effects as a motion control camera operator on feature films including Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

As a Director of Photography, he has collaborated with filmmakers including Hype Williams, PES, Mike Judge, Mark Osborne, and Henry Selick. His work spans feature films, episodic television, streaming content, and commercial campaigns.

Credits include The Little Prince, The Lego Movie, Robot Chicken, The Simpsons, Adventure Time, and Alien Xmas.

Commercial clients include Apple, Samsung, Honda, Target, Disney, Vans, Quaker Oats, and McDonald's.

Most recently, he served as Director of Photography on Disney's A Proud Family Wizmas Special.
